Information We Collect
We collect a minimal amount of information for game user accounts, including email, alias, and password. We ask for your email in order to verify your account and to provide a means to recover your password if you forget it.
We also record game scores each time you play a game, as well as the frequency and times in which you play games. These scores are used in the leaderboards for purposes of competition as well as for our research projects.
Some games will also record important game-related details, such as the time and location in the game world when you perform certain tasks. This information is used for the purpose of balancing game difficulty as well as assessing the validity of our educational design. These game data may be reported aggregately in research publications, but no personal information connecting your account details with these records is ever released to a third party without your explicit request.
Email Usage
We will never share your personal information, including your email address, with any third party whatsoever. Any communication we do initiate with you via email will include the opportunity to opt-out of further email communication.
